It is always exciting to see when kids start picking letters for nursery. Moms would try hard to teach kids how to pronounce each letter as if life itself depended on it. While other moms are not as cautious, some moms take the extra mile to make letters an easy to learn thing. Moms would post letters on walls. And still other moms would intentionally buy different clothes with letters printed or embroidered on it. And once kids can identify letters and learn how to talk, it seems like a daily task that kids should go through is to pronounce these letters. To most parents, learning the letters first is a vital step to learning.
Letters for Nursery: The First Words Usually Are
The first words that children learn from the many letters for nursery are the words “mama” and “dada”. It seems normal that kids should know these very important words before they would anything else. Mama is often associated not just with their mother but also with their feeding requirement. And for such a tender age, blurting out this sound is important for parents to identify whether their baby is hungry or if they want to do something. However, as kids grow, they realize that dada is equally important especially if they want do so something physical or they want to buy something.

And for starters, it is always best to introduce letters with the initials of your kid’s name. And as you guessed it, the first few letters children learn is not their parent’s initials but the letters M and D for mama and dada. In addition, the first few letters of the alphabet (A, B and C) would be the first letters that kids learn. These letters are often associated with things children see around them. A for ants or apple, B for ball or boys and C for cat are the most popular associations of the letters.

The colors for letters for nursery often follow the gender of your child. If you have a baby boy then chances are his room would be filled with baby blue and green letters. And of course if you have a baby girl then baby pink and yellow letters are just appropriate. Parents would be excited to shop for different baby stuff and sometimes the letters would be a mixture of vibrant colours – something that babies are always fond of looking at.

Shopping for letters for nursery and decorating baby’s room would be the most exciting part of parenthood and the best way to bond for mom and dad. And friends and family, especially grandparents, may also take part in setting up those letters hanged on the baby’s room as most gifts and toys will always bear different letters for nursery. And since making these letters visible at all times important, most shirts or clothes would have different figures and letters that represent them.

The most common stuffs that parents purchase as letters for nursery that would perfect for kids would be building blocks and magnets. However, it is often necessary that if these letters for nursery are given as toys, the materials they are made of should be checked. Most kids would not simply play with them but would also put them inside their mouth. Therefore, it is necessary that they are made of materials from rubber or soft cottons which are not harmful to the child’s health. They should not be too small that they can be chewed or swallowed.
In addition, the letters for nursery should not be so hard that they cause injuries to kids if poked or stumbled upon. The letters for nursery may also be hanged in cribs and walls so children can easily see them, remember them and identify them. It is important to have these letters in one place and putting them in a separate box (away from other toys) is also necessary. This way it would be easy for your kids to find their letters for nursery, to play with them and to identify them. And also, the next time your kids are looking for it, they can easily recall where they put letters for nursery.
